Clear expectations, from the first connection.
Do I need my own trading strategy?
Yes. Cytrades is an execution engine. You supply the strategy instructions; your portfolio settings determine capital, weights and execution rules. The landing-page simulations are illustrative examples, not supplied investment strategies.
Can I use Cytrades for both crypto and stocks?
Yes. Crypto connections include Bybit, Binance, OKX, Bitget, BingX, KuCoin, and MEXC. Stock portfolios use moomoo. Each portfolio is linked to one account and market type; it is not a shared wallet across venues.
Can I test before trading with real money?
Demo connections are available for Bybit, Binance, and OKX. moomoo supports Paper accounts. The other listed crypto connections are Live only in Cytrades. Live stock execution must be enabled on your deployment. Check the environment, permissions, and product availability before sending signals.
Does Cytrades hold my money?
Your funds stay in your connected exchange or broker account. Cytrades uses the account connection to read balances and submit trading instructions. Never grant withdrawal permissions; restrict API keys to the permissions and IP addresses your setup needs.
Does a Long or Short signal mean an order was filled?
No. A strategy signal expresses a target direction. Portfolio settings, trading permissions, available capital, market hours, and execution outcomes determine what happens at the venue. Review execution results and holdings separately.
Do I need to download a mobile app?
No app-store download is required. Open the mobile workspace in your browser to monitor strategies and portfolios. You can add it to your home screen on a supported device. Portfolio configuration and account setup are handled in the desktop workspace.
Is automated trading risk-free?
No. Markets, leverage, connectivity, and execution failures can cause losses. Automation does not guarantee profits or fills. Validate your setup, understand the venue restrictions, and monitor your accounts. Examples on this page are illustrative, not investment advice.
